Terry Manton's Science Fiction Artwork

Terry Manton was a man of many talents. Although best known in the gaming community for his historical naval artwork and game designs, his artistic endeavours covered a lot of ground. Just before he passed away, Terry began working with David Ferris to create artwork for the upcoming Generic Legions novels.

The scene above, based on models Terry had made from wood, is possibly the last piece that he created.

Terry created this portrait of the D'Orque supreme commander, Snaga the Great, in the spring of 2000 during a Generic Legions campaign game. The fine image of Snaga actually bears a certain resemblence to the player who led the D'Orques to victory during that campaign.
